AMD held a press meeting in Japan on January 18. Apparently, AMD has teamed up with a distillery in Chiba to produce a bottle of sake (rice wine) which comes with AMD’s 2001 – 2002 CPU roadmap as part of the label. The name of this bottle can be translated as “Five Daughters” which no doubt represents Palomino, Morgan, Thoroughbred, Appaloosa, and ClawHammer. Believe it or not, this isn’t a Photoshop creation.
