A few days ago, PC Watch posted an updated version of AMD’s processor roadmap. According to this map, the notebook version of Palomino has been sampling since December and is still expected in Q1. The server version of Palomino is scheduled for Q2. The mobile version of Morgan has been sampling concurrently and is due in Q2 as well. Desktop versions of Palomino and Morgan will sample in Q2 and hit retail in Q3. This roadmap claims that Palomino and Morgan will start with speeds > 1.5GHz and > 900MHz, respectively. Thoroughbred and ClawHammer will sample in Q4 and see a Q1 2002 release. Appaloosa and SledgeHammer will follow in Q2 2002.
