The much maligned HPT370 RAID’s device driver has been updated to 1.0.3 with a warning to Abit KT7-RAID users. Moreover, Abit has saw fit to update their driver page for the Hot Rod 100 and/or Abit onboard Ultra ATA-100 controller with the 1.03b driver as well. Also, take a look at the HPT370’s RAID performance comparison charts where the HPT370 RAID is compared to the Promise FastTrak 100 in single disk and stripe array. They test in Win98/NT4/2000. Personally, I have had more success with Promise than High Point but these results may make you think twice about which controller you go with.
