Thursday

PlanetHardware inaugurates their new look with a review of the MSI StarForce 815 GF2. I missed this earlier but leaked Win9x/Me 3dfx Voodoo 4/5 drivers are floating around 3dPower and 3D Chipset. The driver from 3D Chipset is dated October 13. The two drivers may not be the same as their file sizes are different. Digit-Life has the early benchmarks on their front page, but did they bench on an Athlon?

The Young and the Restless: NVIDIA is king of the world. BusinessWeek is reporting that 3dfx is primed for a buyout, maybe by NVIDIA. More bad Apples.

Update: FiringSquad has an update to the NVIDIA/3dfx story.
