you are talking about the operating system being 32 bit. nobody doing modern gaming today would have a 32 bit OS. the GAME itself being 32 bit has NOTHING to do with the amount of vram it can use. a 32 bit game can only use a certain amount of system ram but none of that is impacted by the video ram being used. you have a texture modded 32 bit game using 4 or 5 or more gbs of vram if you wanted to and it would still access the system ram it needs.

I’m pretty sure it does. If you have a 32-bit OS and you have 4GB of RAM and your video card has 2GB of RAM I’m pretty sure the OS has to handle the juggling of the total combined 6GB RAM and fit it into the 4GB 32-bit limit.

I believe 32-bit had a 4GB TOTAL system RAM size, including everything except storage. I’ll agree that I could be completely wrong but I thought I read somewhere about 32-bit limitations when talking about system and video card RAM.

you guys keep saying something that is driving me nuts. its about vram in relation to a game being 32 or 64 bit. a game being 32 bit only impacts system ram NOT vram.
